Post by: bisleywrangler on April 07, 2015, 10:43:12 AM
Can anybody identify these axles? I thinking of fitting them to my wrangler.

Can you get pics of the diff covers? Should be easy to identify then.

Both look to be steering and HP. The one on the right looks like it is for leaves but has brakets for other bits.

I'll try get more pics but the guy is a little hard to get hold of. I think the steering bar by the rear axle is just resting in the box, looks like it's been removed to fit the axle in the box.

That would make sense but its hard to see in the picture. They do look to have fancy covers on them.

8 lug? Looks like they are beefy axles but hard to tell from that view

Yes 8 lug, the front one seems to have the Jeep arm mounts on as well, rear is leaf spring of some sort.

Are you sure they were not for a Ford or Dodge? They used front coils and leafs in the rear.

In which case they might be 60's or a 60 with a Sterling rear .....
You either want to go and see them or get multi pics and details of WMS to WMS and diff cover off and count teeth to check ratios.....maybe they are the same ......maybe not :jpshakehead:

Im pretty sure that's not a dodge front, very different mounts to dodge I reckon, rear is also odd for dodge..they look very fresh and clean

The guy hasn't gotten back to me for 3 days now! They're up at a grand, I think they are ford pickup axles, d60 front as the ford has the same side front pinion drop my wrangler.
