throttle position sensor

Hello
my 4.0 98 wrangler some time hesitates a bit on acceleration so have decided to change the throttle position censor, is this a straight bolt in job or is there more to it i must buy a Manuel

remove the plug, remove 2 small torx head bolts and off she comes

hardest bit is getting the plug off mate, good luck  :greggmo:

Those 2 torx cheese head feckers are the worst to get off...........

Got saved by the stealers here........... Lighthouse didn't have any...........stealers wanted twice the moolar so off to Charlton breakers they sold me complete throttle body with TPS and stuff......... for £60.

4 big bolts and reattach the cables and 30 mins job done............... stilll happy a year later..........

Just a thought....... :icon_super:

Just to let you know when i changed mine due to a deep puddle drowning.
it was a easy job no problems 30mins tops.

The new ones have better water proofing to

A word of advice...get a genuine one from a dealer, I have heared pattern ones cause problems.

i got the stealer part £60  :banghead:
But it as worked fine ever since, even driving  across a river in  4 foot of water  :icon_super: :steeringwheel: :icon_super:

I dont belive it just went to put it on torxs came out ok, but the holes in the new one are smaller so torxs wont fit AAAAAAhhhhhhh :banghead:
