having a bumper made is the way to go.......some one on here was doing em.

Stoopid heavy and expensive to import!

Sawzall and raised arches will make those 31s fit...... Or spendy solution with Iceland Offroad.

the prob could be the vicious coupling in the TC about to :die: sorry
may just need fluid change
if it's the CV's swoop in some XJ half shafts or get a XJ axle on the front

Get a bumper made in the UK
I ordered a Hanson bumper from the States and it cost £500 ish
ARB bumpers are lots of ££££££  http://www.arbil.co.uk/4x4/products/3450060-arb-winch-bull-bar-grandcherokeezjto98.html

think you need 3" lift to get 31" under properly but may get away with a 2" lift and some inner arch timing

Try figure of 8s in reverse. If the groaning sound is worse I fear for your LSD. An oil change might quiet it down temporarily.

next drive i'll have a go, the yankee forums reckon if its the vc it gets worse the hotter (read distance travelled) the oil in it gets

its deffo from the front, a bit like its falling over itself, is that just not the result of full time 4wd? :017:

Mrs O came for a spin in it tonight.....she likes it...it could be a keeper.

I am its 3rd ever owner in its 20 year life, it spent its first 6 years in Alaska on a BP site, then was imported (by the same folk) and lived in scotland for the next 13 years, where it has had a full service history.

It has since made its way south and now resides with me, it has a 'offroad suspension' option and a towing package...i am lookin fwd to having some fun in it
