Hi all,

New pic in my album

The lift went well. Only added the rear add a leafs cos we ran out of time on staurday. Took all morning to do the 4 tyres and the springs. Tyres were a b*tch to fit took four of us to do each wheel.

Anyway check out the pic, I'm very happy with the result. In two minds about adding the pucks to the front. I like the slightly tail up stance.

Looks good with just the rear end done.  There's space between the tyre and fender; which is more than can be said for mine!!

How did it go? - only asking 'cos I'll be doing Chilli Cherry soon.

Andy, can you post a link to the image?

Looks like we are going to go with Procomp uprated rears and ES9000 at each corner. This should put it about an inch higher than new std which is sweet for me. If I want more later I can swap the shackles.

I did E-mail MDG but they didn't even reply so that's their loss to the tune of +£300 !

hi

Image is in my album on the forum

http://birtydastardsjeepclub.com/forum/ ... user_id=83

Work went fine used my brother's workshop. 2 post lift, air tools etc. Most of the bolts came apart no problem. Did one side at a time and used a jack to support the axle. The spring packs were rusty but ok the helper spring on one side was already broken and only held together with clips.

The kit come with two sizes of bolts to use when adding the leaf, i did'nt realise this straight  away and spent a few minutes swearing at Mountain Jacks (sorry guys) when the bolts did'nt fit until Pete said try the other bolts in the bag and hey presto.

Used a grinder to take off the top of the bolts when done since they fouled the anti roll bar.

Other than that no worries. The tyres were the big problem and took most of the time. We started at around 8.45 finished by 12ish after washing the car as well.
