Anybody know or recomend somewhere where I can get the aircon checked out on our XJ in the midlands.

Experiences & prices paid would be handy so I dont get shafted.

Dont think its as cool as it could be, the fan keeps cutting in very frequently but as she is nearly 8 years old I figured it would pay to get her looked over to prevent bigger bill in the future.

Just an update for anyone with a similar question in the Redditch area.

Have been recomended a bloke who comes out & services & re-gas's air con.

He has quoted me £15 if he checks it over & nothing needs doing or £55 all in for full check over & re-gas.

Hes due to do it tomorrow so will post the outcome & recomend or otherwise when hes done.

He is based in Inkberrow which is halfway between Redditch & Worcester.

He came & checked out my XJ at my workplace as arranged. Checked the system for leaks (luckily none) & re-gassed the system as it only had a small amount in it, for £55 all in, no VAT.

He was there for about 45 mins all told, not sure of his range but I suspect about 25 ish mile radius though I never thought to ask, sorry.

All exactly as described. He also does minor bodywork repairs, anything & everything upto a ful bumper respray but I can't vouch for this service.
