Breather info needed
« on: June 06, 2005, 07:14:28 AM »

As you may or may not know, i make sets of axle and gearbox breather kits for Land Rovers, now i want to make some kits up for the Jeepers out there.
I know that the gearbox breathers are already extended up into the engine bay, but what i need to know is the thread size on the original axle (and gearbox if fitted) breathers and what size pipe runs from the axle and gearbox.

I will offer a FREE kit in return for this info, and will require a few piccies for our web site when the kit has been installed.

So if you have a Cherokee or Wrangler and fancy a set of breathers.......

Wiz

the only breather I needed to extend was the rear one, a meter of 5mm id scilicon hose, routed it up in to the petrol filler flap, drilled a hole & put the origina breather end back on l  8)

Hi All

Thanks for all the info,
I think i will have to stop all the various Jeeps I see and ask the owners if I can poke about underneth for a few minuits.
I did that to a bloke in a 110 Defender in Saisburys car park a few weeks ago, He didnt bat an eyelid while I took some measurements of his steering damper..
