Was wondering if anyone has the 1.5" budget lift from Llama4x4?

Under the Jeep section, although doesn't say much apart from £118.75 inc VAT
I suspect it's some extended shackles as they are listed on their online shop along with some front coil spring spacers.
Was wondering if anyone here had the same kit?

ta, not expecting a huge amount, although it shouldn't flex any worse than stock.

Just about to fit this to my TD XJ...But only till i can afford a propper kit hopfully spring
i was always very impressed with what a std xj can do std ......so if you look at it lik this
if you have good level suspension now its going to let you fit 30 inch Muds and give your tyres more room
to flex...and give you a little more ground clearance, other than that your jeep shoud handle no different
I have a TD so its sits 1 inch higher as std so will give me 2.5 lift ....my plan is to fit a 3.5inch kit and use
this budget kit to give me a little more OR level the XJ out once i fit a winch

Really just wanting some lift so as to fit taller tyres on. Currently on stock 225/70's but one won't pass an MoT. I've got some 31.10.50's lying about though. I know this lift isn't really quite enough, but it only needs to work rather than be perfect.
I do like my XJ although I took it over some off road terrain out the back of my Uncles. Driven it loads of time in my Disco and other LR 90's. It was bone dry out so thought the lack of MT tyres wouldn't be too bad. But the Jeep sucked, got stuck 3 times and had to get my bro in my Mum's Freelander to pull me out.
I think the biggest culprit was ground clearance, it kept beaching itself where my Disco didn't. The Disco was stock suspension but I either ran 235/85R16's or 33.11.50R15's so it had quite good clearance.
I reckon a 1.5-2" lift and some 2-3" taller tyres would make one hell of a difference to the XJ.

Oooohh, dragged out by a gaylander. That would be embarrassing.

the rear shackles in the kit are 2 inch( ajustable ) the poly blocks for the front are less than that 1.75....what i would try
and do is to find some TD front springs as well as the blocks
ill have some but not till next spring when i fit a 3.5 inch kit.....

Not really, they are quite capable and the TCS systems in them are very impressive, especially in the snow.

forget road tyres as they lose grip offroad alot quicker than you would expect. fit some all terrains and the ability transforms. as you have found out the ground clearence can be an issue but this is where you start to learn about picking routes over obstacles. there are some threads on the site for what lift is recommended for a given tyre size. remember you get what you pay for and what someone swears is the best might not suit your driving style or needs, also the higher you go the more expensive it gets especially over 3.5" as it's not just a case of leafs and front springs
