It has been a great weekend .... and that is the understatement of the year.
I would like to thank Nosebolt for putting this all together and superlatives fail me so let's stick with the above.
Special thanks to Warthog for his 5* breakfasts and Nosey (again) for the Costa Rocket fuel and all the other Birties: BD, CB, Dan & James, V8 and others
who readily offered advice on my first outing with Blue.
Truck behaved admirably and far exceeded my expectations & capabilities on the M5 and in the dirt.
Good to see other Birties pop in for the day on Saturday and the Sunday crew: Lord Flash + way better half & Mocaj amongst others.
Looking forward to Pics, video's etc....

Just got home and I'm fooled, a big thanks to NB for organising Breakout, it was well worth it and I'd love to see this site a fixed event in Birtys as there's loads more to do there.
I'll be busy uploading photos later, could someone create a Gallery folder for Harptree ?

Cracking weekend as usual, and Im collecting a good record for sunny weekends :greggmo:
As usual major superlatives to y'all for how ya make sure my lads have a crackin weekend as well, Sid and Stan been non-stop to Mrs BD bout how much fun they had and all the Jeep rides they had and how many larfs they had - really genuinely appreciate how u include them and help them out with stuff :icon_super:

Chris got whipped by a branch in his eye, was pretty bad with surgery and all.

The short part of the weekend I took part in was excellent right upto the part where a tree tried to take my eye out. I won't bore you all with the details now but just say that the long term prognosis is sounding reasonably good. Still in hospital at the mo but they might let me out tomorrow. Had a two and a half hour op this morning to save the eye!
I'll give a proper update when I can.
Just like to say one last thing and that's a massive thank you to Kev although I don't think I'll ever be able to thank him enough for what he's done for me and Krishan this weekend.

back from A&E, bit scary for a while when the called in a plastic surgeon, but turns out that except for the walking round a field bit I was doing every thing right.
turns out I have split a muscle length ways and its filled up with blood like a ballon, no broken bones (but I knew that) so orders are to rest it elevated with a 5 min walk around the house every couple of hours, but no driving or work for at least a week.
and Chris, hope you as lucky as I've been and you get well soon m8

yea was a weekend to remember, even did a bid of froading in the armchair. did mis not driving tonka but does mean its ready for next time.
got to thank Warthog and CB for getting stuck in organising the gates and punches and to Dan for basically looking after me all weekend and every one else for just being cool and leaving the site as we found it. good news is looks like we can use the site again if we want which is good cos theres loads of it I still haven't seen.

well i must say a very good if slightly strange event for me as said all along it was going to be a hit it or miss it event for me but got there after a puncture and scrapped tyre and really enjoyed the off roading not often you see three mindys playing follow the leader even if it was short lived
the basic basicness of the mindy offroad was rather good again with so little of everything it still makes me smile off road
looks like i bent a spring but heyhoo the tent is now fooked rip and broken poles so thats for the bin the airbeds failed by morn so they can go too and funny thing i cant seem to get a good flame on me coleman seems spluttery and v sooty
but that said apart from the cold we had a super time kids had a blast was super fun to see some of the gang and one or two new to me faces ...........dutch nice to see you and the 7 is your aka father abraham ?

It was a good weekend. Thanks NB and everyone else for organising and making it a good one.
I was a bit too eager to get one of the punches I set out and ended up smashing a rear light and basing the passenger door and wing but I just think it adds character now, how things have changed.
