July 4th carshow 09 RAF Feltwell (nr Lakenheath)
« on: June 15, 2009, 03:44:50 PM »

There is a 4th July carshow at the USAF base RAF Feltwell (10 miles north of Lakenheath).  Here is a copy of a mail I received from Keith the co-ordinator.  I'm in it's a great day with ALL the attractions of an American 4th of July.  The best hotdogs this side of the pond.  Anyway anyone want to enter their truck contact Keith with your details.  If ya just fancy a day out the base is open to the public until 2230hrs when there is a firework display, so you can just turn up in your daily driver

Hi,
Just a last minute email to all. Spread the word to all your friends - we
have 55 spaces left.
Sorry I didn't have time to filter out all the people who have already
signed up, so if you signed up for the 4th July Car Show at the Lakenheath
Car Show in May or have emailed me since with all your details - then please
ignore this.
For everyone else:
Make sure that you provide DoB / Passport / Nat Ins.# for ALL drivers &
passengers so that I can ensure smooth entry to the base - see attached
spreadsheet. I also need the vehicle details: registration/colour/make/model
I must have ALL details by next Saturday, 20th June at the latest -
otherwise you'll be denied entry until 12 noon and then sent to public
parking.
Please try to arrive between 0900 - 1200 on Saturday 4th July at RAF
Feltwell, Thetford, Norfolk IP26 4HL, otherwise you WILL be directed to
"Public Parking" by Security Forces.

For all non Base ID cardholders, please bring Photo ID to show the entry
guard.

After entering the base Main Gate (Gate 1), - there will be a Security
Forces Guard there to check your car and photo ID against the entry list
before proceeding along the tarmac road, follow the road around until you
come to the crossroads, turn left and then right (just before you go onto
the grass) to the sign that says "Registration / Check In" - please wait
there until you can be checked in and given your judging sheets (yes - you
are going to be the judges, all judging sheets to be turned in before 4p.m.)

The events start at 12 noon - discounted rides for the 1st hour on the
carnival, 28 food booths, beer tent, two softball games, live music &
displays etc. and of course the Fireworks at 10 p.m.

Safe driving to you all and see you on the 4th.

Regards,
Keith
