meets and events members hooking up
« on: May 26, 2008, 09:58:45 AM »

we should try and agree a few events or shows to meet up we have a super online community but rarely meet its a shame i think
i mean if a few made an effort we could have a meet at the abingdon show
same goes for jeepy jamboree or any other ideas
there is also a show at eastnor castle its a landrover show but you can offroad too  sure there would be swarms of landys but heck that dont matter none
we do our own events to but its not easy for all to get there
apart from cheapfest our weekender in sept

i am with you on this one fatso. it would be cool to see folk getting together more. even if just to chat and meet each other. we got a few events booked this year ourselves and it is good to see folk getting out to play. i know it just aint possible to attend every event what with the shit fuel prices and life in general but it would be cool to meet some of the newer birtys who seem to enjoy the forum so much.

What about the odd get together for some light spanner wielding? It seems like agood way to finish off all those small jobs you never get time for, or you don't have quite the right tool for. It'd also be a good way for newcomers to see that some stuff is really pretty easy to do. Just an idea, I don't really have space to host but could bring a jeep full of tools and a little XJ knowledge???
