Bit of a lift
« on: September 23, 2014, 09:25:19 PM »

Right then guys.....
I want to give my Jeep a bit of a lift.....couple of inches......so....
I have some 15x8 wheels coming soon which I will be putting new tyres on.  At the minute I have 30 x 9.5 x 15
Firstly what 'must' I do/have ?
Secondly what could I do/have ?
A list of things to get would be super..... :098:

it would go for a 3" to 3.5" lift any more then you need to spend a lot more as you will need to look at slip yoke eliminators  and other drive line mods.
Sway bar disconnects are good too

Really? Thought I'd have to go for less than that to avoid more mods  :icon_biggrin:

Best way though? And if I get on to 31's do I need to change anything else? Gearing etc?

You'll be OK with 31s.....

Just realised you have a 2.5 litre engine?????

So will be Ok but you could use deeper gears to get back some sparkle!
Yours are 4.10 and going to the deepest possible 4.88 will make life on the road much more liveable with.......and might even allow a 33 x 10.50 to grace your arches.......

Tis a jeep and guaranteed to give you a nice slim wallet with no unsightly bulge in yer strides :hysterical:

You really need to think about what you want, otherwise the money you spend now will soon be getting replaced with something bigger and better.
A 3.5in short arm kit from Rubicon Express will give you what you are looking for and is hard to beat for quality
It all depends on how deep your pockets are

agreed  but a 4inch from lama will leave change to buy most of the tyres but it does all depend what you want

as rob says think carefully and spend once
