If anyone is unsure if 255/70/R16 will fit 7J silverblade alloys on a stock suspension Jeep WJ without rubbing....then the answer is yes.
They fit fine, with no rubbing on inner wheel arch/shroud on road or light off-road. Couldn't say for certain they won't rub when suspension is flexed though.
Bought a nearly new set of 4 Continental Cross Contact LX 255/70/R16 (9mm), just because I couldn't get a decent set of 245/70/R16 for the right price & I'm glad I did. They look sooo much beefier than the original 245s & suit the Jeep so much better.
