Title: ZJ exhaust
Post by: Brynjaminjones on May 27, 2015, 09:39:17 AM
I've done a bit of a silly thing. The ZJ's silencer had a hole in it so I bought a new silencer and tail pipe to fit. It wasn't until I had chopped up the old one to remove it that we realised that it had been modified to fit as there was less clearance due to the LPG tank.

It had to be chopped into pieces to be removed, so I now have to find a custom exhaust centre to fit a new one. Does anyone know of any good custom exhaust shops that don't cost a fortune, or has anyone else encountered this issue with an LPG'd ZJ?

Cheers!

Fit the silencer and then get a right angle piece and a bracket or two and have exit in front of rear wheel.....

Thanks for the advice guys. I want to keep this Jeep close to stock, so I will be replacing the tailpipe somehow. I've now found a place who will make me just a tailpipe and build it on the car, so all should be good  8-)
Dave, my XJ isn't actually spare - it's SORNed for a couple of months for me to fix up, but will be my daily drive again once that's done  :icon_super:

not used = spare parts until replacements are obtained
