that is a thin sill.

looks more like a cosmetic finish for the door lower rather than a structural piece. It may be a design feature to create a false sill.

 Can't you put box section in the hole between the chassis rail and the sill and then have a sacrificial bash strip which extends out past the doors and bolts to the box section.

a full chasis so we need somthing that is fixed to the chasis and also protects the sills not easy if we are to try and keep ground clearance this could be fidley

I can leave it.

The sliders must be jackable with the high lift - perhaps put those round locators in.

Apologies for taking so long Mr H.
This is what we have, round bar locators to stop the hi lift moving / slipping as opposed to tubes which could get crud in them, just a thought
