The shift on them FM's was always shit after they went to cable change. Old linkage was much better.
Luck escape with that center bearing collapsing, bet it went with a right clatter.

Aaaaahhh, know all about that.  brake bits off, hub off, shaft out, check CV, if ok repack with grease, new boots on with the dreaded ss clips and bolt the whole thing back together again.

Made easier if the whole front end is off the ground so you can move the steering around to get at the bolts at the back.   (or are we takin drive shaft CV's)?

Good luck.

the jhay bar job went well seems a daft idea to junk the recovery points for a bit of bling but heyhoo up to the owner

there will be no workshop activity this weekend due to the fact that tomorrow i will be doing my yearly stint as santa for the children at the local primary school and surestart
then on to help with the turkey hunt on the afternoon and sunday

i dont think much will then happen untill new year when i have decided that probably i wont have an offroader next season but will be hoping to start a project building a surplus special in fact i think thats what i will call it so keep a look out for updates on that and keeping larry the zj alive [grave misgivings] on that but we will see

Last weekend spent tarting up the CJ7, cleaning & polishing (it might as well look good at the garage)

Just had the back in the air to clean and adjust rear brakes.  All feels good and it seems I got a bit of handbrake as well  (as long as it lasts 5 mins)  :icon_super:

Fist MOT since Bubba did his magic in October 2011.

Fingers XX's for Monday.

Too long since last update if you are intersted I am sorry if are not turnips too ya !

Well been abit stop go in the workshop had a few things through  did a clutch on some Toyota car thing  simple enough but man cars are dull serviced a couple of nice tjs from retuning folk ta guys its a big help
Also had interesting proplem that highlits the dificulty in diagnosing problems on a forum ..... wj with reoccurring brake binding problem  owner was helpfuly pointed in a few directions but was recomended to change brake flexys so I fitted them  and after removal I blew through them from both ends and was hopeful but was not convinced
Anyhoo problem was not resolved and was wose due to a duff abs sensor (me disturbing it)
I had not been happy with fluid and comented on it so when it returned I investigated with that thought in mind upshot was full fluid change and replacement master cylinder and all was and is still hunkydunky

About time there was another update here  :icon_winkle:

Granted your recent weeks have been spent underneath a roller skate welding, welding & a bit more welding  :icon_super:

Your efforts are thoroughly appreciated mate  :icon_super:
