The 20mph door locking thing only works when it feels like on my WJ. Took it to the dealer to diagnose, they drove it, and said it had a problem, but couldn't fix it cus 'computer says no'. Anyone got any ideas? Dr Mike?

Can you not enable/disable it via the trip computer controls?

Yes, but when enabled, it only works intermittently.

Could be a tricky problem to solve. The whole think involves several computers (Engine, Body Control, Door control and EVIC) communicating on a data network. The body control module instructs the door module to lock the doors if the rolling lock function is enabled and the engine controller says the Jeep has got up to speed. Unless there is another problem with the central locking, I can't really suggest what to do unless you happen to have a DRBIII scan tool to hand.

Yes, given that the locks work perfectly otherwise, I'm confused too. It all points to a software problem. I'll disconnect the battery and see what happens. Thanks Mike.
