Nearly nearly nearly nearly nearly there.

My seat frames + spare wheel bracket are stillllllllll in the paintshop at work  :011:
My seat recovering lady is stillllllll in the proces of doing them  :011:  (had them since 1st week of Dec) :icon_rolleyes:

Fabby mate says I'll have my tube safari doors this week.

Like I said I'm now in the hands of the the good willing but Cornish 'dreckly' (aka cornish manjana) mentality.

Once I've got the bits bolting on is 20 mins work but I can hardly re-present it to the club unfinished.

It's all there ready to go. Plan to tax 1st March

After a very enjoyable day out in Blue + missus, driving the beast does not fase me anymore.  On a run she only wants to go faster but limited it to
55-60 max for now.

Ok......fitting out time now in preparation for brakeout :

Nick my FIL's neighbour had not an ammo box but a army/navy spec flares box for me with a very intricate closing system. Not as big as I would like but it will give me the secure storage I was looking for and very in keeping with the truck.

I also fitted the rear seatbelts, silly me, the rear bench is split in seat and backrest anyway and the centre of the rear rear seat frame caters for fixing belts so in all it was
all of 15 mins work.

I aquired a BMW 2 gallon emergency fuel can many many moons ago with a neat little 2" hole in the middle so cold molded a stainless bracket + M12 bolt poking out, to fix to the inside of the rear wheel arch.  So just have to make a 2" disk, and neatly bolt the can away on the side. Off course all mounted on stickyback neoprene to prevent rubbing.

It's nicely coming together now. :greggmo:

the only things you will need at the breakout is recovery points, shackles and strops.. plus beer of course

while i do take jerry cans of fuel, i don't carry em while off roading, they are left at the camp, there is always someone who will collect it for you if you run out like i seem to do every event :003:
