Jeep WJ 2004 brake discs and pads

ok i have ordered a few bits for my truck and have found jeep keep changing there ideas as to what works best, so i buy things for my truck and no they are for an earlier 1999-2004 V8, mine has round fog lamps not oval, my door regulators are not the same, and now i need discs and pads.

looking on fleabay and there appear to be more than one type  :011:

yours being a 2004 you need the akebono front pads, the rear discs and pads i think never changed over the lifetime of WJ's
to double check the fronts, look at the callipers thro the wheel, if theres a wire spring retainer like on the back its the old type tevis.

Check out Unipart too, just type in your reg and do a search, might sound odd but I've found stuff for my ZJ there cheaper than anywhere else, worth a shot:)

I cant recall exactly what was there as in a big "A" or the full name but if you grab a torch and have a quick look underneath you will easily be able to see the logo or name on the front callipers. Dont rely on what other peoples have, like most brands or manf they and previous owners chop and change.

As far as doing the back discs, they are a doddle if you have basic diy skills. They dismantle in an obvious and logical way.

I did all four corners on my old WJ last year and they were the easiest Ive ever done  :icon_super:
