Spindle nut socket - DANA 44
« on: January 21, 2012, 04:11:15 PM »

This is more of an ask - before I have to fork out for a new one has anyone got one I can borrow ASAP? Obviously I will pay post costs.

Cheers gents  :greggmo:

£30 + delivery for a one off job - and the SOA is bankrupting me - no kidding - so paying postage is a more sensible option for this month (and the next)

just had a look online, I reckon a pair of long nose mole grips might do it, but then they'd probably cost the same as the socket :003:

It also doesn't look too disimilar to an large RE cartridge joint tool, how desperate are you? I'll have a measure up Monday

Think you'll find that its for adjusting bearing backlash..50ft lbs or less then washer on with tabs and 120+ ft lbs.....
so maybe cold chisel not the best solution.

Got one for the 1 Ton Dana 60 and..................... hey BD guess what............
I still got one from when I had the Dana 30 with Warn FWHubs... only difference is my prongs stick out rather than in the linky........ worked for me........Snap On........ the cheap option :hysterical: :hysterical:
You wanna borrow?

Did you manage to get what you needed? After a week of cleaning and digging I managed to find mine along with other dana 44 bits. I have a good stash of spindle nuts and other items if you need.
