How to remove the top of the gear shift on an XJ

How do you remove the top of the T bar on the gear shift on an XJ automatic? I'd like to Get the trim that fits round the gear shift off without breaking it..

It just pulls off. Put pressure on one side and tap the other then curse as it comes off and you punch the dash  :hysterical:

Brill, Thanks guys..... I spent ages prodding round trying to find the hidden clip or screw that didn't exist....... Even tried unscrewing it! Who'd have thought that it just pulls off....Doh!
