He's got a grand cherokee though. Forgive the confusion, cherokee3381, but this is a mainly UK website,
where the Liberty is still called Cherokee, so you were offered advice on the wrong vehicle.

You'll be wanting a spacer lift. www.kevinsoffroad.com (http://www.kevinsoffroad.com) or www.rustysoffroad.com (http://www.rustysoffroad.com) will have the kind
of thing you need. Rustys has a 2 inch poly spacer lift for $60 per end. Wherever you look, make
sure it's for a Grand Cherokee WJ - that's the code for your Jeep.

Remember though, that you need to consider the dampers too.

I have a rough country 2" BB, works well & good for 31"s but my original springs are shot so will be swapping out for some new 3" when I have saved some pennies. Seems if you go above 3" it starts costing much more $, you need a new front prop, plus rear A arm spacer, new track bar... etc etc.

Your Jeep don't have a separate frame so you won't be lifting the body :003:

Ignore him, he speaks a strange language that takes years to learn.

Anyway, as Mike alluded to, the Grand Cherokee is constructed more like a car, in that
it's chassis and body are one piece, therefore, you can't apply a body lift, as these are spacers that
go between the body and chassis.

The Wrangler is the only Jeep built like a truck with separate chassis/frame since the 1993 Grand Wagoneer.

anything more than 31"s and you will need to start cutting the arches, just a slight trim for 32"s, but 33"s+ need bumpers hacking back

If you are in the USA there are a million options to lift your WJ, I have one & here in the UK it's no so common so it costs a whole load of change to do it. Contact this guy Kolak@aol.com, he will suggest upgraded springs that give 2.75" with .75 spacers new shcoks & a track bar.  Also http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/ (http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/) is an American forum there may be people on there local to you & they can give great advice there are only a few of us here in the Uk with non stock WJ's. I was suprised about the tyre or tires as I have a 2" lift with general grabber AT2's size 30.1x10  255/70/16 & even with the 2" I could not move up to 265/75.
