I plan on putting a trailer 12N socket on the back bumper and was planning on splicing in to the loom were it leaves the inside of the tub at the rear on the back of my 2002 TJ, I am assuming that this will not upset the normal loom as I am going to insert a set of relays for the indicators so as to not change the load on the normal indictor / hazard circuit. Can anyone see any issues with this.

It's fine, don't bother with the relays, it'll work fine.

Cheers Mike will have fiddle on the weekend, Bubba already have a trailer just need to make a hitch.

alot of companies just use those blue tap on connectors (waste of time).
hower you do it, use proper crimp connectors or solder the joints and use heat chrink tubing

I was planning on cutting the wires and making a proper soldiered / crimped connection when I did it as I do not like Scotch clips either.

:iagree:
Feckin things cause nothing but trouble
-
prime cause of wire corrosion and electrical failures when used
-
you find them everywhere though bastard things

They are so quick and simple to use.
I do use them, but only when I need to tap in to the radio / cigar lighter power for low power accesories, which might be removed sometime in the future.
I would not dream of using them outside of the console area.
