Title: Front Propshaft vibration
Post by: Longjon on January 16, 2011, 10:00:05 PM
I have a 2.7crd WJ GC, when i bought the car the seller said there was a vibration from the front prop shaft, so removed it, without marking it in relation to the flanges on the front diff or TC. I have refitted the shaft and the vibration is there, am i right in thinking that these have to be refitted in a way that both the front and rear cv/uj joints on the shaft have to run in parrallel. The shaft rumbles aswell. Is it just a case of unbolting one end and rotating 90 degrees.

Thanks

Also how easy is it to change the engine thermostat on this car mine is stuck open

It's possible you have a sized joint on the prop.

They are cv joints, I think knackered transfer case or front diff ???
