Title: Zj, yj and CJ starter gear size

Calling all experts

I've just checked the housing and the amc starter fits the bell house on my zj diesel gearbox.

Unfortunately the starter is goosed but has made me think think that I can get a ZJ starter for 20 second hand but the amc starter is about 100 quid therefore is there any difference in the size of the starter gear drove between amc or ZJ starter?

I don't want to buy one to find the gear is too small and won't mesh with my v8 fly wheel so wondered if anyone knew if they were the same size?

Cheers for this and looking like an old amc starter with separate solenoid then at great cost!!
