99 -4lt Grand Cherokee - Rogue Heater

Help needed - Heater controls seem to have gone haywire, no blower, warm air on demist only, AC fires in on cab heating, recirculating air turns off immediately activated. Temperature gauge showing 100
Any help appreciated

You're fooooked £1,000 repair I believe or a good 6 man hours.

Unless its a problem with the control unit itself. But yeah the most common issue is knackered flaps and its a dash-out job to fix.

There is a cheap fix available for the blend door problem, about 100 quid that doesn't need the dash out, but this doesn't
sound like that.

With blend door failure you get no heat on one or both sides. With recirc door failure you lose all ait output in spite of the blower running flat out. Another good one is the controls working in reverse, caused by a bad earth in the drivers door harness. The system has a self diagnostic mode. Look on wjjeeps.com for info on how to access it.

Thanks for the comments. removed control unit in passenger footwell ,disconnected cables and then refitted, blower now working in accordance with controls.
