Well I made the decision to keep the ZG and get the issues sorted, then move on to some light mods.
So gearbox has been serviced, new solenoid fitted and given clean bill of health from auto box specialist - can highly recomend them if anyone needs a specialist in east London / Essex.
Rear diff was worrying me, so had my friendly local mechanic give the Jeep a service and change diff oils - i know its easy i was just being lazy. Just had word from receptionist to say its "knackered", lots of bits of metal floating about. I'll get the full low down from the mechanic when i pick it up friday.
For now i'll assume the worse and ask... Is it simpler to replace the inner workings or just swap out the whole axle? Mine is an Orvis so has a limited slip, would be nice to keep but Im not too fussed, could be an ideal time for an easy and cheap upgrade from a different model?
What are my options? Apart from emptying EVERY pocket before Christmas
