Zj long arm kit
« on: May 30, 2014, 09:51:12 PM »

Hi, I'm in the process of planning my homemade long arm kit for my zj. What are people's opinions on using either rose joints or rubber bushes?

Rose joint(Johnny joints, heim joints) at axle end and rubber bushed at chassis or JJ at both end if you don't mind a bit of noise.

on the front i would go with rubber on axle end and Johny joints at the body end
JJ's both ends on the rear
if you put JJ's the front axle end they won't last long
been ruining a long arm ZJ for 9 years now there good fun

Just had to research this a bit more........ Pirate 4x4  :hysterical:
Seems the popular idea is .
Lower links bushings at axle end and JJs at chassis end
Upper links JJs at axle and bushings at chassis.

Advice for bushings was YJ poly leaf spring bushes.

Ruffstuffspecialties has complete kits that you can either buy in kit form or brackets only or just view for ideas :icon_twisted:
