Cherokee 2.8 CRD oil pressure issue (2011 model)
« on: October 14, 2019, 07:33:52 AM »

Hey guys

So, my Cherokee overheated and resulted in us having to replace the head gasket.

My mechanic had the head skimmed, obviously replaced the head gasket put the engine together... Turned the engine but the oil does not come through to the head for some reason.

We thought that it could be an issue with the oil pump so we removed it and and had it checked and cleaned.. it seemed that there might have been a blockage but there was no issue with the pump itself.

Put the engine back together again... still no oil getting through to the head...

We double checked the Gasket and it is exactly the same as the initial gasket. Called the local Jeep dealership to ask advice. They know nothing and are stumped.

Any advice or ideas will be welcome.

Regards

Joe
