Title: New headers, not removed the old one in 16 years....
Post by: scrw on March 26, 2015, 07:34:25 PM: How lucky do I feel? Stock headers have been there since built in 99, I am going with new bolts, but how many will break? :lol_hitting:

When I did my '98 TJ, I covered the manifold bolts in penetrating oil for 3 or 4 nights before I did the job.

Didn't break any bolts.

Access is really shit, especially to the ones underneath, which you can barely see. There's not enough room to get a breaker bar to them, so I found I was best off locking two spanners together and doing it that way.
