The heater control on my TJ will move to hot no probs but when returned to cold the cable just goes slack and I have to move the flap under the dash by hand. Is it:
a. A duff cable which requires replacing?
b. A badly adjusted cable?
c. A duff flap spring (I couldn't see a spring)?
Some idea before I have to remove the dash completely :( would be greatly appreciated.

Strange this
Just tried replying to an identical post on Jeep Club and the site crashed
Anyroad Woody reckon its a cable issue from consulting my trusty Haynes manual possibly snagged think you need to look under ther dash

Stew
with a little manual assist the cable moves, so possibly a kink, will check.

Looking at the Haynes picture it may need a bit of tat old lying upside down in the footwell stuff...

I'll either take dash off or passenger seat out which will give me room to move.
