Wow, that's more than I expected....
How does the part time work ?
Does it burn more juice on the motorway in part time ???
My mates got one that is stuck in 4wheel part time, any tips on how to get it into 2wheel drive ???
Got my eye on a 4litre at the moment, bloody cheap ain't they ?
Not gonna be doing many miles so the 4litre will be fine.....

The front and rear transfer case output shafts are locked together meaning you have no differential there. Only for use on surfaces that will allow slippage of the tyres. eg snow, ice, mud.

No, but fuel costs pale into insignificance when you need a new transfer case cus you destroyed your old one on the motorway in part time

part time is for off road use only (slippery surface) it locks the 3rd diff in the transfer case
Full time 4x4 you can use on the road, it will use slightly more fuel but I wouldn't think you will notice
Get the guy to go in reverse for a while sounds to me like he may have wound the transfer box up
If I'm wrong on this I'm sure somebody will put me right

By the way mate, a quick post in the 'introductions' forum would go down a treat
