Sorry to hijack the thread from KD.

Given what you have said about my near scrap tyres, what do you recommend?

I don't/won't be going far enough, fast enough or often enough to worry about the 'on road' behaviour. Maybe some really aggresive remould MT's?

The CJ is purely a toy, which will get upgraded as/when things break.

They'll last between 15 and 20 thousand miles, roar like a dragon at ALL speeds but will go ANYWHERE in any terrain. And they look like something out of a horror film.

I found some 'Boggers' at LA Supertrux. 31/12.5/15 at £216.38 EACH might be a bit on the expensive side.

Well, just got back from "Valhalla" (aka Birmingham  ) with my spare wheels courtesy of darky, brand spanking new BFG M/T's going on tomorrow & we will be all set for Ribbesford!!

Mucho gracias Darky for the alloys, will make sure i put em to good use!!

If anyone wants a price for any new tyres for their Jeep, let me know & I will see what my dad can do...........he's got a tyre depot in Ross-on-Wye, right at the end of the M50 & keeps shedloads of 4x4 stuff in stock or can get it pretty quick if he hasnt got what u want!! I will see if I can get some sort of club discount scheme set up for you all!!

I spotted the Scrambler the other day whilst browsing the V8 CJ's on ebay.com.

It got me thinking (and drooling) about importing my own.

I think that's a whole new subject for another time though! (maybe one day).
