But this is WK/WH. I Have WJ, so I need axle from WG. WH has 5 link suspension, while WG 3 link. It would be major work to make it fir  :(

The finalgear ratio is more related to the engine/transmission than the body type.
Im suggesting that if your chosen axle is behind the same drivetrain setup its more likely to be the same. (IMHO  )

My god... I'll explain again ;) If I'll have the same axle gear ratio that I have now, I will obtain the same final ratio.
I don't want to use another D35c, because then I would have to swap all my current internals (locker) in. A lot of work and again risk of damage. If I'll find a D44a with vari-lok, having 3.55 ratio, then I'll be fine. I also know, that it depends on engine type, that's why I'm asking about WG CRD only, which is the only possible donor. I'm still not sure if it has 3.55 though.

So, any CRD owner on this board?

So you're saying you have a WG with a D35c? In the UK, even the 4.0 had the 44, but I don't think any of them had VariLoc diffs in them.

No, I have WJ with D35c. It was shipped from US. But the axle is busted. I have to replace it. I want to replace it with WG axle.

Oh, and by the way, why it has been moved from "workshop"? I was thinking some time where to post it, and thought it fits the description:

it is a tech question really. the worksop is more about stuff that folk have done or are in the middle of. its is not a problem. it just made sense to go here as some folk only read tech.

I had a front axle that I was told came from a 2003 2.7 CRD WG. I'm pretty certain it had 3.55 axle gears.

Because I bought they axle from a breaker I never did see the vehicle it came from but it was definitely a WG axle as I used the brakes and steering knuckles. It did only have an open diff, not vari-lok.

Great, thanks for this info. Though you say you don't know for sure, it's another vote for "possible"
