Do you need indicators?
« on: January 30, 2008, 12:27:44 PM »

Ok thats probably not a good question. what i meant was do you actually have to have indicators on the front of the wing to get through an MOT.

Just re-buildig mine now and i have the Gaypod square type indicators and mate has the round standard type ones and not big fan of wither so wondered if i could get away with the yank style side marker (just above the wheel flare) and marker light on the front grille?

is this legal?

Also completely seperate subject do you know where i can get cheap rocker bars for the bottom of my tub?

cheers

after a certain year they have to be fitted. they are supposed to be at a certain height and flash at a certain rate but most MOT testers take the idea that as long as it flashes at a reasonable rate and with a clearly visible orange colour they will pass it.

Yep, but I found one that counted the flashs per min. Then failed it for being 5 flashes too slow.

I removed the Pods from my CJ, wired the sides into the headlights. Got some grill lights from the US and with orange twin element bulbs, I now have running lights and indicators in one unit. 8)
