Drivers door electrics..
« on: July 13, 2005, 10:38:19 PM »

Hi guys ,dont know if any one can help please, closed the drivers door today, all ok,went to re-open ...nowt,the central locking on all the other doors was ok.
Opened the door with the key,switched..ok,went to open the window, nothing, nor all the other windows,or the door locks, side mirrors, nothing, nothing on the drivers door will work, seems strange that the whole lot has stopped working, not just one circuit, all the other doors operate ok,your help / views would be appreciated..

I'm not an expert, but since it's all the electrics on the drivers door and everything else is working on the other doors have you checked where the wiring harness enters the door?  I would assume damage there is the most likely cause of your problem.  There may even be a plug that has come loose.

I'm sure someone who knows a bit more will have some suggestions for you to try soon enough. :?

Disconnect the battery for a couple of mins to reset the controller and it'll be ok. Dont forget you'll need the code for your radio.
