Starter motor goosed, and battery on last legs which I suspected as its the original.

Well its now parked on my bloody drive, AA Said did she want it recovered anywhere for repairs.

Is £80 a decent price to have it reconditioned?

sounds a fair price, you could always do it yourself, its probably only the brushes that are gone.

strip it down and take  them to the same place that re conditions them, I know a place over by yardley wood  that rebuilds them Goodwins  0121 778 6339 give them a bell.

£80 sounds good, I paid over £100 for my 4.0 XJ one. IMO it's not worth the hassle of rebuilding them unless you enjoy it or a replacement is very expensive.

Sorted, Starter motor was full of grimy diesel from the rather leaky injector.

It diesel had burnt and mullered the starter.

injector been done on Tuesday once seals arrive.

Bloody CRD.

And its off the road again!!!!

Injector one that was leaking is for a reason.

Gone to remove the retaining bolt and its not the correct bolt, and its short. The reason been there is 1/2 a broken bolt in the head.

Retaining bolt to injector 2 removed and with it came most of the thread.

Bloody CRD's.

Where are those matches.
