And prob not the last mate, I have got there thread tool for injector 2, just got to get no 1 retaining bolt out where its been previously snapped.

Once again we have it back up and running.

Both number 1 & 2 injectors had to be removed and the bolts drilled / threads re cored and threaded.

Then had a a draining battery issue. Rob mentioned check the key isn't warn.

Indeed it was and can be removed from the ignition whilst running.

They were turning the key one stage to far and leaving the electrics live.

What is the head made from on the CRD?

It appears as if the head has become soft as the oil separator on the top had problems when re fixing in place a while ago.

Its as if the metal has become unable to hold bolts in place.


BD - that's the decision they have come to I think, cut their losses but I want to get it running ok first and not just pass on a multitude of problems.

It will be sold fairly cheap I would think though.

its called idiot with no torque wrench or mechanical ability previously working on it, they have just stripped the threads on everything.
