Flappy Handbrake Lever
« on: February 22, 2013, 10:15:44 PM »

Well I had nigh on 6 weeks of incident free bliss so I guess I can't complain too much but having reversed onto the drive tonight I pulled up the handbrake lever and after a couple of clicks there was an almighty cartoon style boing, twang, clang type of noise, to which my 12 year old daughter said "Hmm that didn't sound good" and the lever has gone floppy.
Whilst cursing, swearing and spitting snot and feathers I had a quick look at the lever location and seeing as it is located between the centre console and the side of the drivers seat does it mean I will have to remove the drivers seat to get access to the mechanism to inspect the cables and equaliser?
I get a horrible feeling that this isn't going to be a simple 5 minute job.

have a look under the back seat, there's a flappy bit of carpet in the middle, the equalizer is there  :icon_winkle:
