Who got caught with his pants down???
-
Not sure on his name (sorry), came in a patrol towing the trailer with the SWB Pajero on it. Got stuck a couple of times in the sheep dip, the time he nearly made it through the Pajero cut out! Think he said fueling issues. Ended up proper wedged about an hour and 3 winches to get it out.
-
A proper good day, really enjoyed it. Always a crack

The Birty known as "KingCJ"
They only let him out know and then, or should i say let him come down this far south :003:
-
Top day out, weather damn nearly held off for most of it too.
Three winch recovery was fun, followed by helping out rescuing a stranded Mindy & finally but by no means leastly, was pleased to be able to offer the use of Shiney tools :icon_eek: & not just mine, but Stews as well :icon_eek: to a Birty in need :003:
Made my day I can tell you :hysterical:
Great to see old friends & new ones too.
Top Birty day again, next stop, laning over christmas is a must :icon_super:

Topped off by towing mates ninety back on a strap after getting his clutch full off mud, had to stop and clean the rad on the xj as the temperature was borderline and i don't need to kill another motor :jpshakehead:
what/whose is the rear steer tj -esque thing
And Will, i think its classed as a v8 tractor, or at least it should be, damn things unstoppable.
-
Oh, and it appears I have an affliction known as 'Turkey Blind'
Its like colour blind, only I cant see Turkeys :003:

A great day and thanks to the guys who took the time and trouble to organise it :icon_super:
I got no turkeys and my Mitsi looked shiny but I did get it dirty - honest! Tyres are crap for some of the grassy surfaces but I managed to get round most of it (just). Some awesome machines on show and not just great to watch but made us all feel really welcome again. Ta! It's got to be said that Jay's missus has got a real taste of the off road bug and didn't want to give him the keys back :lol_hitting:
-
Top day out...huge thanks to those that organised it...unsung heros...
The fact that his Lordship and I happened to have spanners and stuff available was just a tribute to the planning and skills of the Shiny crew...
-
had a great day out, thanks to Gregg and all who organised and help set up :greggmo:
good to see you all :icon_winkle:

so what a super event again setting up is the most fun for me and just havin a ride around with mates high spot was pizza round the camp fire [ta muchly cockney boy] and chatin shit almost wish i had camped
sunday was rather fun to saw some cool recoverys goin on and lots of fun.................apologies for not thanking my friends properly at the time for helping me with my suicide battery problem as it was just a simple ride around day for the first time ever i had not one single tool with me
going up a simple climb my battery jumped out of the tray breaking the earth lead and shorting on the master cylinder jeep stopped mid hill and a roll backwas needed with lots of smoke from the bonnet :icon_redface:
but the shiny crew were on hand as were tank and mocaj to assist with a basic trail repair thanks guys you :icon_super: i felt a bit of a :wsmile:
then it really started to rain so after a bit of chattin i had to shoot off to staples in kiddy to get some photo paper for alley meaning i did not say propper thanks or ta taas
roll on next year and more sneaky turkeys
-
No problems old chap...glad the shiny things could be used....you might want to have a chat with Lornaben/Kev ref battery mounting..those turkeys were very sneaky
-
Trust me Kev, me & the Bish were delighted to help out, think the scales are still majorly tipped in your favour mate :003:
Good thging about Birty's & Jeepin, nobody gets left behind :icon_super:
-
Only went as a spectator, but still an enthralling day,and Josh had a great time getting wet and muddy as always....
Great to meet up with friends and to see some interesting offroading thanks to the slippery conditions. Thanks to everyone involved in the organising
-
Top Weekend had :023:
Spot of camping, add a camp fire, a few jars, Pizza and chat like old woman until beer runs dry.
Then Sleep, bacon butties and some wheeling.
I had to rescue 6 turkeys at the end of the day :icon_eek:
Two of them had got that bored they bedding down for the night :hysterical:
One however, is now in the Lardie. A bloody stowaway! Fortunatly for him, the resident sniffer dog prefers rabbits.
-

Great day as usual :greggmo: two Turkeys but had to leave early.
Thanks to all for organising :greggmo:

-
nice to see that people think this is a nice and simple drive though "muddy puddle"
-
but was the welly in the bed before he went in to the puddle or has he picked up an ancient artifact?
