Title: Member locations
Post by: Jeeper Creeper on March 03, 2009, 01:03:51 PM
To make meets etc easier it has been suggested that every dude and dudette is put on a map.

Map (http://http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=111588754977741522351.000464347988df074b90b)

PM me your postcode (only the first half) and I will add you to the map

This is going to sound really sarcastic, but might I be so bold as to suggest that if you'd like people to know where you are,
then putting your location as Maidstone, Kent or East Grinstead, West Sussex might be more descriptive than "Predominantly
in a good place" or "At home, at work or in between."

Not trying to annoy you, just stating the bleedin' obvious.

It's just a visual aid.... and if that phoogle Nosebolts is talking about gets implemented I give admins permission to copy the map to their own google account (also if I die a sudden death or get abducted by aliens). Will save me the trouble of manually updating it  :-)

No, I actually have pretty good geography and know where most larger towns in the UK are.
However, 'Europe' is about as accurate as i need, you're all about 4500 miles away anyway.

That is fine, but for me at least, I then need to go to Google maps to work out where Maidstone, Kent or East Grinstead, West Sussex actually is being as geographically challenged as I am. I still need a sat nav to get around Bristol and I have lived here almost 20 years. #-o

Is there any chance that this thread can be made a sticky as does help many of us.

I'm in Plymouth, Devon, very near Cornwall, often laning, (lots of great stuff here) doesn't seem to be many other Jeep owners that go laning/punch hunts?

PM if your near by or ever down this way, cheers Maf

And a huuuuge empty space centred around my location in the Newbury area! It's strange as I see LOADS of Jeeps round here, and some that look a bit serious with off-road kit!

Anyone round here or am I a loner?
