TJ: Serpentine Belt Routing
« on: February 26, 2018, 07:36:35 PM »

Anyone got a pic of how this should look?
RHD seems to get an extra pulley so online pics don’t work. 4 popper non a/c.

Belts been off a week whilst I got the alternator rebuilt And I jet washed the sticker showing it a few years ago.

I don't know how similar the RHD 4/6 belt routing is but here's the routing for the 4.0

Edit:
Just looked at the parts list and there's only one part number for RHD belts, and it has both engine codes, so the routing should be the same.

Brought a new belt; which came out longer; which looked promising.
However neither belt can make any of the various shapes pictured! So a photo would be welcome!
RHD sucks

Back home from work now and drinking thinking. The routing I posted earlier might only be good for early TJs with the 2.5. I don't know what year your TJ is but if it's a later one with the 2.4L maybe this will help...

That's the same routing as I first posted. I have, I think, a 6PK2550 belt fitted to my 4.0L. That's about 100 inches which the US belt sizes are specced in. Any car shop should be able to get them in if they don't already have them.
