CJ7 - Front nearside brake pads "clicking"
« on: June 30, 2018, 01:09:03 PM »

Hi.
Just put new calipers and pads on the CJ (sourced from lighthouse). Disks were almost unworn, just a bit of rust from storage, so I got them skimmed.

Now I have a clicking noise every time the front left wheel rotates... front right is fine...

Taken the wheel off and its the pads moving in the caliper.

What have I done wrong?

Turned out to be a "wide place" on the disk picking up the pads on each revolution, then gravity taking over and dropping them back. New disks ordered...
