Just wondering does anyone know if a heated front windscreen conversion is available from a specialist for the XJ jeep.

Surely that patent must have expired by now, wasn't it late 80's early 90's they were first used ?

One thing that all cars should have I reckon, never owned a car with it on but have seen it on others, cant understand why its not more widely used

I've never seen one of those...closest thing has been a windscreen with two heating wires that sit under each wiper blade to quickly unstick them on a very frosty morning...worked in conjunction with the rear demister.

Probably should have added....scrape off 12" of snow, pour 2 litres of cold water (beer bottle full) across the top of the screen, start motor, activate heater system...wipers on low speed...clear windscreen within a minute! Same with the rear end.

Washer fluid in the bottle....minus 60 degrees or better. Vehicles over here have a 5 litre, or more, capacity.
