OK pretty basic question where is the Pollen Filter located on a 2004 Grand Cherokee WJ series ?

Nothing showing in the parts list so I'd guess they don't have one.

Looking online there are pictures of one under the plastic cover where the windscreen wipers are. Also some show one behind the glovebox !

Looking for clarification as to where the UK spec vehicles might have one.

The right hand drive WJs don't have a pollen filter, although mistakenly parts sellers do sometimes stock the filter. (and insist its correct)

My wife suffers from hayfever badly so I did some research and sourced a fitting kit (widely available in the states and Canada, the WJ info website gives a part number) then fitted it to my RHD jeep.

It was not too difficult to do, the issue arises because the intake on LHD WJs is on the right, RHD WJs have an intake on the Left and the holder is not a perfect fit.

With little bit of adjustment to the holder (cutting at a corner) I managed to flip it upside-down and fit it, it makes the scuttle panel a tight fit but works.

I recently replaced the filter (annual service time) and the local parts place again had no issue getting the filter, I managed to replace it without removing the scuttle panel but by removing some screws and lifting it. It was a tight fit but possible without having to remove the wipers which saved time (I am very lazy).

It's not expensive to replace or get the fitting kit (I think I got it delivered for around £60) and it's up to you (or your allergies) how worthwhile the addition of a filter would be.
