Not sure of where to get it mended but which box is it as of it's a BW ford SR4 like I did then in it and get something else.

I've had 2 boxes rebuilt by Peterborough Transmissions....

AX15 and NV3500 both perfect after 5 years..... Price seems to be £500 a time....

Yes they must be the boys.....mate of mine, delivered mine......

But if they can handle a Citroen DS box and a Roller.....which is an old TH400 then they have to know their onions

ok finally got box out of cj7 this weekend. turns out its t176 tremec - not a borg warner t4 after all.

box is going off to 'box dude for rebuild.

also changing clutch whilst im there.

Any other recommendations to do whilst this little lot is out?, prop joints seem ok, have cleaned and regreased.
is there anything i should look out for on dana 300 whilst its out?

cheers all.

Dana 300 likes to leak......a gasket kit at the very least...... A twin stick kit is nice to have as well :steeringwheel:

Thx bubba,  is lighthouse the only jeep spares supplier in the UK? I find them very odd on the phone and parts are expensive. Thx

Have you considered ebay? I don't know how the prices compare but with the global shipping program the shipping is more reasonable and you'd have the parts in a couple of weeks.

I presume you have tried rock auto as they sourced me parts for my bizarre jeep build and overnight delivered for $50

Royal Mail held onto it for about 3 weeks but you can't teach stupid i guess

i acknowledge your sentiments  on both counts but would simply say if you need crytical parts they are very very good hence they have been around for a good few years now

:iagree: They're brilliant when you need something in a hurry, plus you'll get used to the phone manner!
