Title: 31" tyres on stock cj7

Hello all , has anyone here ever put 31" tyres on a cj7? i have a 4.2 6 cylinder other wise totally stock cj7. ive heard that 31s will fit fine, not rub or cause too many gearing issues  - just wondered if anyone else has done the same and have any comments?  thx

I'm not sure how similar CJs & YJs are, but a few years ago I had 31s on my YJ and they were ok (though I doubt they would have performed well off-road), certainly no gearing issues - but they looked a damned sight better with a 2.5" lift ...see photo ;)

31s will be fine on a CJ7, bit taller than a YJ

Yup, no worries to put 31's on a CJ.  With a 2" shackle lift it looks the muts nuts

31s will fit its almost a first step mod  you may find tyres just rub slightly on front springs at full lock but that depends on the wheels you have
