Battery goes flat is the TJ if left sitting for a few days, I've done a drain test, is 140mA high,

Could it be the new alternator I've recently fitted??

Mine drains in about a fortnight so i just disconnect when I've finished with it
its the invisible inhabitants of the Tj that need heat and light so if you leave it connected they steal the electric
But in seriousness mine is something to do with the alarms and stuff

Going flat that quick is not good, door switches for the lights arcing maybe ? Had this on an XJ.

Something simple like CB not fully switched off perhaps ?

 ....I left mine with the radio turned down, but not off (original owner had it wired wrong) and after a week, the battery was totally flat! Works properly now now...key off, no power goes anywhere.

Ezz the amount of work you have done, just fit a external battery disconnect and be done mate.

Battery drain should be below 30mA I think, It may not drop to that level immediately so it should be monitored for a couple of minutes I think it says in the FSMs. Any additional alarms and such may add a little more. If you think it's the alternator disconnect and see what the drain goes to.

Thanks for the replys guys, I'm thinking 140mA is high, I'll have a look at it over the weekend..
