Title: Tales of a moody xj.
Post by: YT on September 08, 2014, 11:27:04 AM: Thought this may need it's own thread. It started as a refresh of a 3" lift, then some smaller jobs jumped onto the list. Richard started on Sunday, with the usual rear damper nightmare, seized/breaky top mount bolts. 1 out of 4 made it off in one piece. After some time the dampers and sway bar parted company.

It seems as, at this point the Jeep chucked a full strop, and refused to let go of the rear flexi brake line. It's now having the hard lines replaced along with the flexis. This may take some time !

Some major progress yesterday. :D I suspect Richard started swearing at it. (Always worked for me.)

Post by: YT on September 09, 2014, 10:55:25 AM: No idea just yet, the Jeep is with Richard. I do know I couldn't move the damed thing by hand, so stands a chance the steering will be a bit heavier when parking/low speed.

Lots of options of wiring direct and stuff..........but YT has nailed it.......nice one. :icon_super:

Big thanks to Richard for all the work. Didn't take him long swapping the coils, and they where a tight squeeze, the spring compressors even had a go at taking his head off ! Thankfully, they missed.
