what is actually required CJ
« on: February 14, 2015, 12:43:03 PM »

Yes i could search but there appears to be differing points of view so sensible opinions please.

Leafs on the CJ 7 will require replacement at some point this year so looking at a lift which can only be component swap rather than "minor fabrication required" due to no real work space. Axles ideally to be swapped to wide track but that's another topic

Nominal lift 4"

I assume consideration for body lift of 1" max (dependant on tyre choice)
leaf springs 4" lift (brand irrelevant at this point)
extended brake lines
dropped pitman arm
longer dampers
axle angle shims rear (front?)
transfer box spacers (1" what size?)
front/ rear prop shaft (will standard be ok?)

depending on the manufacturer most of this might be supplied but what else is there to consider so to avoid full fitment then realise something is missing?
