Grand Cherokee heater blend doors (that old chestnut).
« on: November 09, 2014, 01:03:49 PM »

A previous owner had already been in there and evidently removed the broken right side door (nearest to the seat) and shoved a sponge up the pipe?
Anyway I re cut the heater matrix box, fitted the new blend doors and attempted a HVAC reset. Problem is I now have three codes (not sure whether they are historic or current codes)?
20 - AI recirculation door travel too large
24 - Right temp door travel too large
54 - Left temp door travel too large
I still don't have heat on the drivers side and I did check that everything was installed correctly. I checked that it all moved under power (the two new blend doors) and I've performed a few AZC calibrations.
Have I missed something here?
Any/all help would be appreciated.

i would assume by the explanation of the codes is that your fettling has allowed the doors to open further than they normally would.

Sorted now.
The instruction I had for calibration stated, leave for at least 60 seconds before moving any of the heater controls.
In fact leaving it alone for more like five minutes allowed it to reset properly.
